There are various game platforms such as PCs, stationary machines, smartphone games, etc.

After work, we get together in the break room to play games, and we compete in games that only engineers can enjoy.

And, of course, the game club has popular games these days.There are also gamers who find minor games that are not yet known to the world and play them.

This time, the first new work in 18 years of the "R-TYPE" series, which has been handed down as a side-scrolling shooter, "R-TYPE FINAL 2I'd like to introduce you to ".

What is the R-TYPE series?

In July 1987, the first generation "R-TYPE" was developed and released by Irem.

Along with "Gradius" (KONAMI) and "Darius" (TAITO),A work called the horizontal shooting game GosankeIt is.

There are three points that characterize the series.

The first is[High Difficulty]be. Until you find a clue to capture, you are required to struggle desperately, but on the other hand, the joy when you can capture is great.

The author, Kikuchi, was born in 98, so while I was still in elementary school, I enjoyed the works from 10 years ago.

I played from the one called "R-TYPE Dimensions", which was a set of R-TYPE I and II released on PS4.

As I introduced at the beginning, one of the features of R-TYPE is that it has a built-in story.
In general, shooting games don't have much of a storyline. There are works that are simple like this, but with R-TYPE, it's fun to be able to see a different perspective by following the story that isn't told in the game.

What to expect from the future R-TYPE series

In this work, the development of the aircraft advances by consuming three types of items.

Unlike the previous game, the fact that you can continue to use your favorite aircraft is great for beginners and repeat players.

I have an army called the "Granzella Revolutionary Army" that appeared from TACTICS, which is in conflict with the Earth's army, but there is actually no shooting from that point of view.
